I have a slow leak below the waterline in my 30 ft yacht Can this stik be used on the inside of the boat on a wet surface? I think the leak is round the depth transducer.

A/ Hi, thanks for your enquiry, sorry for the delay (busy in the shop over the bank holiday) . Hopefully you are still afloat and able to read this.
This resin type putty has a core of harderer and the two are mixed by working it in your fingers. This sets off a chemical reaction and the putty hardens. It is possible to sand it with a wet finger as it is like slip clay before it sets. This saves attacking it with sandpaper afterwards.
As this is a chemical reaction not dependant on oxygen or uv sunlight it will still apparantly set hard under water.
It is a very good product but I have to say that I have not as yet tried to save a sinking 30ft Yacht with it.
We did sell 2 stiks to a couple of chaps rowing across the Indian Ocean though but we never heard if they made it.
