If you wear bodyboarding fins without sox then your feet will usually be rubbed raw. Your feet will also freeze in winter! Not ideal...

The answer is of course to wear neoprene sox. Ordinary neoprene wetsuit sox are however a bit weedy really though and the bottoms can wear out very quickly. Some have tried with ordinary wetsuit boots but these tend to be too bulky and uncomfortable and will also require vastly oversized fins to fit over the top (difficult if you've already got big feet!)

Circle One to the rescue then with these hybid socky-boot thingys... Is it a sock? Is it a boot?

Who cares... it's a brilliant bit of kit, it's exactly what fin-wearers have been waiting for, for a long time!

To properly equipe yourself with Fins you will actually need 3 things... Sox, Fins and Retainers (Finsavers).

The Sox provide warmth and comfort. Retainers are recommended in order to avoid losing your valuable fins in bad wipe-outs!

This picture illustrates nicely the pre-bent ankles... check the pic below... this is the position of the fins/sox when in use.

Now you can see the reason for the pre-bent ankle angle. Drain holes in the fins are usually on the soles (but not always).

To avoid confusion when your drunk, each Fin is usually clearly marked... what part of "Right-Top" don't you understand?
