Hot Wired 2012
This has just arrived in store and I had to try one on. I'm stood here in it right now and I'm not dissapointed!
So much going on with this suit, be sure to read it all! We'll start with the new QuickDri Channel Polypro (on the chest, thigh and back panels). The QuickDri Technology in the nylon weave means that putting on a wet, damp, heavy wetsuit is a thing of the past. The additional channels in the QuickDri Polypro means that the surface area of the polypro (thermal material) is increased, maximising the suits ability to trap warmth and keep the riders core warm during the deepest, darkest, loneliest depths of winter.
Also new for 2012 is the Hotwire Seam. This is a triple fused seam; maximising the seams resistance to water and increasing the strength. We all recognise that seams are the weakest part of any wetsuit; however in the HotWired this triple fused seam technology silences those claims. The HotWire seam is constructed in three parts. C-Skins C-Flex Tape is bonded onto the inside of the wetsuit, enabling the seam to sit flush with the QuickDri Channel Poly Pro chest, thigh and back panels and stretch with the wearer without compromising flexibility or comfort. Traditional glued and blindstitch techniques are used to bond the neoprene together, and as per our C-Skins Wired, Session and React models the external component of the HotWired Seam is LQS Liquid seam, renowned for its flexibility and water resistance.
This year the suit also features an Enigma Chest Zip with Water Resistant Dri-Crypt Zip. Taken from the Session model, the Enigma system is rotated and fitted to the chest with a Water Resistant Dri-Crypt Zip, in which the teeth are offset as to eliminate water penetration, and minimize flushing.
These new features coupled with C-Skins Loc Down cuffs, LQS Ankle Seal, Dura Mesh chest and back panels enable a surfer to maintain their core temperature optimising their flexibility and ability to perform.
