60's and 70's Style Retro Surf Rider Wooden Bellyboard

Very hard to obtain now, possibly the last boards now still being made in Devon (possibly even the last boards being made anywhere!). Marine ply with 3 layers of top quality yacht varnish. Nose Rocker. Manufactured by local craftsmen of - shall we say... "advancing years".

For surfing the whitewater, these wooden boards actually work better than the modern bodyboard due to being longer. The extra planeing area means that you don't have to pull yourself up on the board as you do on a foam bodyboard.

With a foam board adults especially actually pull the board out of the wave whilst attempting to pull their body up into the planeing position. These traditional old wooden ply boards beautiful to look at and are now the coolest thing to have on the beach... and they work!
